A "longhorn" bass guitar played by E Street Band member
Garry Tallent and a snare drum smacked by Chad Smith
of the Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the items expected
to be on display in the all-genre, international Musicians
Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville, Tenn.
The 30,000-square-foot complex, also featuring a recording
studio, performance hall, small theater and music school,
is scheduled to open in June.
Among the supporters of the Musicians Hall of Fame &
Museum is Neil Young. "You can see the hood ornament
on the car if you go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,"
said Young. "But if you want to look at the engine and
see what's making it go, then you go to the Musicians
Hall of Fame & Museum."
